Common Summer Skin Problems and Solutions

Many problems and conditions are affected by weather, including some summer skin problems, which become more prevalent or severe during this season. Immediately after exercising, change tight sports clothes such as tight shorts and leggings and take a shower.

If you are taking medications that cause this problem, avoid sun exposure while on them.

Sunburn which can arguably be the most common summer skin problem is annoying and increases your risk of developing skin cancer. To prevent sunburn, you can do the following:
- Avoid sun 10 am to 4 pm
- Use sunscreen
- Wear sunglasses
- Wear a hat
- Wear long-sleeved shirts
- Stay hydrated

In the heat of summer, fungal infections are common. The fungus grows in the upper layer of the skin, especially in a dark, moist, and warm environment such as between the legs or the groin. Fungus can grow quickly in the heat and can make the conditions worse if not treated properly. What should be done to control fungal infection?
